Joe
Kremer
General Manager
This marks Joe's 19th season at the helm of the Carolina Mudcats franchise. In 1992, just one year after moving the team to Zebulon, N.C., from Columbus, GA, Kremer received Southern League Executive of the Year honors. He then followed that accomplishment with identical hardware in 1993, 1995 and again in 2005. By 1996, Kremer and the team had earned Baseball American's Bob Freitas Award for outstanding organizational achievement and success at the Double A level. Developments for the 2008 season have set the stage for even higher levels of organizational excellence - Kremer and the Mudcats are finally realizing the vision of Five County Stadium put in place many years ago. He is very excited that the Mudcats are hosting the 2008 Southern League All-Star Game. Before joining the Mudcats, this West Lafayette, Indiana native worked with the Triple-A Nashville Sound in 1985 and 1986 and was assistant general manager of the Double-A Huntsville Stars during 1987 and 1988. A 1983 graduate of Purdue University with a BA in Fine Arts, Kremer and his wife Kathy reside in Wake Forest with their two daughters, Katie, 16, and Karli, 14.
