June 3, 2006 - The Carolina Mudcats are proud to announce Bat Giveaway Night courtesy of St. Lawrence Homes. The first 1200 kids, 14 & under through the gate will recieve a Louisville Slugger baseball bat. Mark your calenders for Saturday, June 3rd as the Carolina Mudcats take on the Mississippi Braves at 7:15 pm. Come early for one of the more popular nights at Five County Stadium. With 80 members, the group is made of baseball fans of all kinds...some diehard, some fair-weather...but always enthusiastic and always smiling. They provide bottled water, candy, and other goodies for players on road trips and also organize and carry out three cookouts every season for players and front-office staff. Birthday cakes find their way to the clubhouse once every month, and members also make themselves available to players on the first few hectic days when they arrive in the region. The Booster Club meets in Zebulon on the second Tuesday of every month. The group also publishes a monthly newsletter.
