** Carolina Mudcats Transaction **

Zebulon, NC --- The Florida Marlins have made two player moves affecting the Double-A Carolina Mudcats effective for tonight's second game of a five-game series with Mobile at Five County Stadium.  

Shortstop Rex Rundgren has been promoted to Triple-A Albuquerque, with the Mudcats adding shortstop Edgar Gonzalez.  Gonzalez was hitting .293 with 10 RBI over 21 games with the Jupiter Hammerheads of the Florida State League.  

Carolina's roster sits at 23 players, one below the current Southern League limit of 24. 

ADD:  Gonzalez, Edgar (From High-A Jupiter)

DELETE:  Rundgren, Rex (To Triple-A Albuquerque)
