** Yourkin assigned to Mudcats, Vanded Hurk to DL **

Zebulon, NC --- The Florida Marlins have announced a pair of transactions in advance of tonight's Carolina-Jacksonville game at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville.

RHP Rick Vanden Hurk, who began the season as the #2 starter in the Marlins starting rotation, has been placed on the seven-day disabled list retroactive to April 13th.  Vanden Hurk earned a victory on Saturday night in his Carolina debut against the Montgomery Biscuits.  LHP Matt Yourkin has been assigned to the Mudcats, and will be active tonight.

RHP Willie Glen, who earned the victory in relief for the Mudcats last night, will start in Vanden Hurk's spot on Thursday night against the Suns.
