Resop Recalled to MLB; Flannery Joins Carolina

Zebulon, NC --- The Florida Marlins have made a pair of transactions affecting the Carolina Mudcats effective Tuesday, June 28th.  

RHP Chris Resop has been recalled to the major leagues, while RHP Mike Flannery has been reassigned to Carolina from Triple-A Albuquerque.  

Resop, placed on the 40-man roster last fall, was 1-0 with 18 saves in 19 chances with a 2.60 ERA for Carolina.  Flannery bounces back to the Mudcats after appearing in two games with the Isotopes in the past week. 

Overall, Flannery is a combined 2-1 in 34 appearances this season between the two clubs.  

Resop becomes the fifth Mudcat from 2005 to reach the major leagues, joining Yorman Bazardo, Logan Kensing, Scott Olsen and Chad Betnz. 

The Marlins host the Atlanta Braves tonight at Dolphin Stadium.  Former Mudcat Dontrelle Willis will make the start.
