Flannery, Bauer Join Mudcats; Fuell to DL; Yorkin to Jupiter

Zebulon, NC --- The Florida Marlins have made a string of player moves affecting their Double-A Carolina Mudcats' affiliate.

Effective today, RHP Peter Bauer and RHP Mike Flannery have been reassigned from Triple-A Albuquerque to the Mudcats, while RHP Jerrod Fuell has been placed on the seven-day disabled list with right shoulder tendonitis.  Additionally, LHP Matt Yourkin has been sent to the High-A Jupiter Hammerheads of the Florida State League.

Bauer was 2-4 with a 6.94 ERA over 12 starts with the Isotopes, while Flannery was 1-0 with a 6.43 ERA in 12 relief appearances, however Flannery was 1-0 with five saves and a 1.47 ERA in 15 games with the Mudcats earlier this season.

Fuell, the fourth most utilized pitcher in the Southern League with 26 appearances, last pitched June 5th earning a 4-2 save over
West Tenn.  His move is retroactive to June 8th.

Yourkin, called up from Low-A Greensboro June 4th, appeared in one game for Carolina, walking one and permitting one hit in 1/3 of an inning.

The moves keep Carolina at the S.L. limit of 23 players.  A revised roster is attached.

Weather permitting, the first place Mudcats continue their four-game set in
Jacksonville, Florida tonight at 7:05 PM ET.
