Chattanooga, TN --- Nic Ungs won his fourth straight decision while the Carolina offense hung up 14 hits in defeating Chattanooga 9-1 in the series opener on Monday night at Bell South Park.

Reggie Abercrombie hit a two-run homer in the ninth for added insurance as the Mudcats remained in sole possession of first place in the North.
