Baker to Stay on DL; Sodowsky Joins Mudcats

Zebulon, NC --- The Florida Marlins have announced a pair of transactions affecting their Double-A club in Carolina effective Thursday, August 4th.

RHP Ryan Baker, who was scheduled to be activated from the disabled list yesterday, suffered a setback with his pitching shoulder while throwing a bullpen session on Tuesday and will remain on the disabled list.

RHP Clint Sodowsky has been reassigned to Carolina from Triple-A Albuquerque.  Sodowsky, who has pitched for five major league teams, appeared with the Mudcats briefly in 2003 and 2004.

The Mudcats roster remains at the Southern League limit of 23 players.
