Wednesday's rubber game between the Carolina Mudcats
and Birmingham Barons has been postponed due to rain.
At
the time of the postponement, a steady rain had fallen
across the Triangle since the early hours of the
morning, with temperatures in the mid 40s. The
forecast was for stronger storms throughout the
evening.
The
game will not be made up since the Barons and Mudcats
do not meet again in the first half.
Carolina
defeated the Barons 5-4 on Monday to remain unbeaten
after five games, but lost for the first time last
night 3-1.
Carolina
,
leading the Northern Division by one game after a
5-1 start, will embark on its first road trip of the
season Thursday, heading to
Huntsville
for
three games and
Chattanooga
for
four. The series with the Stars begins at Joe
Davis Stadium on Friday night at
8:05

The Mudcats swept
Huntsville
four
straight games to open the Southern League season.
The
Mudcats return home Friday, April 22 against the
Tennessee Smokies for an abbreviated three-game
