Zebulon, NC  -  A six-run outburst in the first inning by Tennessee, followed by a rain outburst in the seventh inning drenched the Carolina Mudcats on Friday night at Five County Stadium.

Tennessee (32-30) pummelled Nic Ungs (L, 3-3, 1+ip, 7h, 8r, 8er, 1w, 0k) for three homers in the first 11 batters of the game.  Dee Haynes hit a three-run homer with no outs, followed five batters later by a Milko Jaramillo three-run jack.

Ungs allowed two more in the second on a home run by Papo Bolivar.

Todd Moser entered after Bolivar's homer and worked four scoreless innings.  Bryan Gaal allowed a run in 1/3 of an inning before rains ended the game in the seventh.  The game was called after a 30 minute rain delay.

Carolina was blanked by Jeremy Cummings (W, 5-1) on five hits, stranding seven runners.
