Chattanooga, TN - Monday's series finale between the Carolina Mudcats and Chattanooga Lookouts was suspended by rain in the top of the first inning at Bell South Park.
Carolina was making its final appearance at Bell South for the 2004 regular season, hence the game will be made up when Chattanooga returns for its final visit at Five County Stadium during the August 21-24 series. The exact date of the game's resumption will be determined upon consultation between the Carolina front office and Southern League.
Three pitches were made in Monday's game by Rich Gardner, falling behind Carolina leadoff hitter Matt Demarco 2-1 before a deluge of rain began to drench the field.
Carolina's road trip continues Tuesday night at Greenville with Peter Bauer starting against the Braves' Brian Moehler.
