Zebulon, NC - Kelly Johnson went 3-3 while Kyle Davies won his third Double-A decision as Greenville clubbed Carolina 11-2 before 5,018 fans at Five County Stadium on Wednesday night.

Johnson led a 13-hit assault, which saw the Braves (16-8) score eight unanswered runs in the final three innings. Napoleon Calzado and Andy Marte hit successive homers in the ninth against reliever Brian Strelitz (ND, 2ip, 7h, 6r, 6er, 1w, 1k) to cap the Braves second straight win over Carolina (10-15).

Matt Demarco (2-4, r, 2b, k) extended his hitting streak to a team-high 11 games with a fourth inning single, then added a double in the eighth to pace Carolina's six hits. Jeff Inglin (HR, 5, 2-3, r, 2rbi, w) hit a two-run homer in the fourth, his second of the homestand.

Trevor Hutchinson (L, 5-6, 6+ip, 5h, 5r, 4er, 1w, 5k) suffered the loss, and remains winless since May 10. Hutchinson allowed an unearned run in the second, a two-run homer to Aaron Herr in the fourth, then witnessed two inherited runners to score in the seventh inning.

Davies improved to 12-2 overall in 2004, including nine wins in High-A with Myrtle Beach. Davies fanned nine over 5 2/3 innings, which saw 111 pitches.

Carolina concludes its eight-game homestand on Thursday night with Peter Bauer (5-7, 4.07) starting against Brian Moehler (3-5, 5.36) at 7:15 PM ET at Five County.
