Breaking down the most stacked ballclubs across five key categories

Nothing says "baseball season" like discussions. Heated, passionate discussions. The kind that stem strictly from opinions and not straight facts. Discussions about who's "the best" this, "the best" that. OK, you can call them arguments. But I prefer the fluffier "discussions."

They're the foundation of many a bar-room debate, fodder for fantasy baseball enthusiasts and a way to keep warm over the annual hot stove.

But the Minor League hot stove doesn't cool off just because the season's begun.

Just for fun, I decided to take a look at the 120 Opening Day rosters around the Minors and jot down some of the most intriguing starting rotations, bullpens, infields, outfields and tops of lineups.

Carolina Mudcats to Host 2008 Southern League All-Star Game

Zebulon, NC --- The "Magic of Baseball" is coming to Carolina, courtesy of the 2008 Southern League All-Star Game to be played at Five County Stadium in Zebulon, NC on Monday, July 14th. 

                                   

During this two-day span, the Mudcats, Five County Stadium, the Town of Zebulon, Wake County and the Miracle League of the Triangle will join hands in becoming the epicenter of the Southern League, hosting the 37th annual All-Star game.
