Countdown to the 2008 Southern League All-Star Game: Monday, July 14, 2008

The "Magic of Baseball" is coming to Carolina, courtesy of the 2008 Southern League All-Star Game. On Monday, July 14th, 46 of the top prospects in the game today will arrive at Five County Stadium to compete in this prestigious event.

The All-Star festivities will begin that day with a very special game. The Miracle League of the Triangle, a league for school-aged children with special needs, will play a game on the field in conjunction with the Southern League All-Star players and coaches just prior to the All Star Game. The custom All-Star jerseys that the Southern League All-Stars will wear will be auctioned off during the game and the proceeds will be donated to the Miracle League. A Fireworks Extravaganza after the All Star Game will complete the "Magic of Baseball" experience that evening.

Be sure to get your tickets early for this spectacular event to see these future stars of tomorrow!

National anthem will be performed by Katherine Fritsch.  She also sings that national anthem for the Carolina Hurricanes.
