I-540 from Triangle Town Boulevard to Knightdale US-64 Bypass Now Open!

On Tuesday, January 16, 2007 the new stretch of I-540 opened up to the general public. It was an exciting day for Mudcats fans as well as fans of baseball. Interstate 540 will now lower the time of travel to the ballpark for North Raleigh residents. In addition, it is an easier and more convenient route to get to Five County Stadium, Home of the Carolina Mudcats.
This long awaited opening of the new I-540 section will be very beneficial to many Mudcats fans, new and old. Are you one of those people that say, “It just takes too long to get to Five County Stadium,” then it is time to change your thinking! It takes just a mere 25 minutes to get from the Capital Blvd. exit to Five County Stadium. There are no stop lights or stop signs, you can just cruise right into the ballpark!
The I-540 opening is just in time for the Carolina Mudcats 2007 season, set to start on Monday, April 16 at 7:15 p.m. against the Mobile BayBears. For Mudcats ticket information call (919) 269-2287. |
